How my food journey began:

It all started by chance when I was just 10 years old and playing around in the kitchen pretending to be a master chef.

One of the memories that stand out, is when I was asked to make a cake for guests. Me being me decided to make things fun and very interesting. I coloured the cake mixture bright blue without anyone noticing, and placed it in the oven.  This looked like the normal cake that was baked in our household…..until cut everyone was shocked at this bright blue colour. I believe it’s called “blue velvet” today.

From here there was no stopping me. I started experimenting with noodles veggies and indian spices, and everything else I could find in the kitchen. To my surprise people enjoyed the flavours and aromatic meals that were prepared by me. My passion for food has just grown through the years.

I wanted to try something new every time I cooked and also wanted to learn and perfect the art of cooking.

I am now a foodie on a quest to learn new things. I enjoy trying out different types cuisines, and then replicating them in my own kitchen with a FoodiewhippedSA twist😆.  My favorite  meals should always have a bit of kick to it and loads of flavour and aroma.

This blog was created so that I can share what I have learned and the delicious recipes, that I have created with others that have a passion for food.
