A new revamped Trendy Spot, with a delicious new menu, the offerings are available at breakfast and lunch.

A great spot to meet friends, family or have a quick meeting when in the area. Situated in Birdhaven, close proximity to Rosebank and Melrose Arch, the highlights for animal lovers, has to be the fact that you can bring along your dogs and there’s something on the menu for them too, a cozy spot outside where you can enjoy meals and your pooch can tag along too.

The cocktails are a great way to unwind, perfect to start with as you decide what you going to order, and yes there’s Wi-Fi if you have to check your latest notification.

The decor is pretty awesome, as it does fit the look and feel of the space, the mosaic is eye catching and almost everyone would agree that it’s Instagram worthy!

Now to the more serious matters, the food:

The crispy Calamari, is a great starter as you can order small plates (tapas) before ordering your main meal, this was flavorful I enjoyed it! It made my list!

The Asian BBQ sticky wings, well let’s just say that I cleaned the plate! Delicious!

I know you looking at my bowl of fries and wondering what happened, well let’s say before I got the picture, we couldn’t resist trying a few… these are not just any fries, they were truffle Parmesan fries, the flavor comes through beautifully!

Loaded Lakte, an absolute must try, a simple dish, prepared with love, a traditional Jewish dish, it lives up to the expectation!

A favorite had to be the Gnocchi Broccolini, this dish will have me returning for more! One of the most flavorful yet comforting dishes I have had in a while! This dish is exclusively available at Voodoo Lily.

Chocolate brownies, served with ice cream and berry coulis made by Chef Josh, a nostalgic chocolate treat, it’s not too sweet, just right, suitable for most palates.

What an amazing culinary experience by Chef Josh, I found my new favorite lunching spot in Jozi…..
